FlecHaus

Megan FlecHaus and I met at the Housewine open mic in Austin, Texas. After sharing a set at Cherrywood Coffeehouse one night in fall 2016, we decided to play in a band together.

Centered around the reflective lyrics and soaring vocals of Megan Flechaus, FlecHaus plays a unique brand of modern American folk. FlecHaus explores themes of impermanence, science, and the psychology of emotion. The varied musical influences of its members coalesce into an intimate, personal performance style that is full of twists and turns. “FlecHaus is changing the way music should be heard, from a place of tender honesty.” (Indiepulse Music)

Our debut single “What We’ve Got” won the L.A. Music Critic Award for Best Group Single in 2017, and our most recent single “Beautiful Things” won the  Independent Music Awards Fan Favorite award for Best Song in the Adult Contemporary category. The "Last Match" EP, released June 29th, 2019, is a collection of singles released in 2018-2019 chronicling Megan's move from Rochester, NY to Austin, TX, and her first years in Austin, written by Megan and arranged for full band by the band members.
